the Goose Girl - after the painting by Millet

This is an interpretation as a lithographic print of a small painting by Millet (c.1863). I saw the original in the recent exhibition at the Royal Academy in London, The triumph of French Painting (works loaned by the Baltimore Museums).

Click on the thumbnail below left for an enlargement of a detail (48K), showing the pleasant grainy quality produced by the stone lithographic process, and below centre for an enlargement of the whole image. Click on the thumbnail below right for a development of the theme into Leda and the Goose.

Prints are UKú70.00 each (US$100.00) including postage. For all enquiries please use the form on my contact page.
