2001. Oil on canvas, 19x14 inches.
Painted in two sessions of two and a half hours each including breaks. The profile of a face is surprisingly difficult. It gives a Renaissance feel to the picture. I have used a limited palette of burnt umber, naples yellow, cerulean blue, light red and white.
