- Day and session rates: Please for my current rates. You will find hiring me direct a lot cheaper than using an agency locum.
I do not charge for overruns, as long as the workload has been within that specified in my terms. Nevertheless, please consider that a 9am to noon booked surgery is more than 3 hours if the last patient is booked in at noon, especially if there are prescriptions and phonecalls as well! If unexpected extra work, for which I shall charge, is offered to me, I shall remind staff to check with the practice manager before accepting the work. - On call rates (day) and house calls:
On call will be charged at significantly less than my standard hourly rate for any times that I have to be available for the practice but not actually working. A house call is charged as half an hour at my full rate. - Mileage and parking:
I do not charge mileage for local locum work.
If parking is not provided then I shall expect the practice to be responsible for the cost of parking. - Cancellations:
A fee of 80% of the full fee will be payable for cancellations at less than 21 days notice. A fee of 40% of the full fee is payable for cancellations at between 21 and 42 days notice.
